Hammer ons in little wing

I see the 3h5p3, but if you are only playing 3 to begin with how do you play 3 and 0 on the other strings? Is this a notation issue or a technique issue? Thanks PS this is SRV version |

Try the accurate Power Tabs of the Hendrix and SRV "Little Wing" versions with midi playback:
