Open String Riffs, Country Lesson..
Here is a little riff that shows one way that open strings can be used to really drive a riff. This is a nice little Honky Tonk riff that is in the key of A, and moves through a quick measure of D into a measure of E. The ol' I-IV-V riff.
I hope you like it. Stick through to the end (It's short!) and it'll make sense as to what we're doing here. This is my first real "instructional" video. (I was snowed in today). let me know what you guys think, and maybe I'll do some more like this. -

Might help if you told us what you were doing whilst you did it. Words or writing.
I'm out of practice transposing off the teacher's fretboard. If I play it by ear, I do it different, with added fiddly bits, which is not the point of the lesson. Just a thought. Useful stuff, please do some more. Thanks.

soo...I did another video. Again, exploring the theme of open strings in the key of A. I'll put it in a second post.
