You say scales scales scales....just becareful not to get caught up in scales! especially pentatonics! It can take years to get out! Learning the notes of the chords is maybe even more important.

In the Blues ucan use the 1, 2 (9), b3, 3, 5, #5, 6 (13) and the 7 of the I, iV and V chords (and yes there are other tone you can use). You should be able to find these notes over each chord, since these will be the most common tones of these chords.....if that makes sense!

Learn to play scales and you will sound like scales....
