Site with melodies to jazz standards?
Can some one point me to a site that has sound files for the melodies to jazz standards? It doesn't have to be fancy, just a midi file, just so I can hear what they sound like. Thanks, Ward

Hey, I did a little scouting around and found this:
http://victorian.fortunecity.com/plath/210/ehome.htm Click on "midi files" on the left-hand menu and you'll get a whole page of jazz standards. I only listened to a few; the quality seems to range from okay to nearly unlistenable, but at least you can hear the melodies. Hope it helps, CS :-) |

why not buy miles davis "kind of blue" and listen to some of the best jazz ever made, and hear him play the melodies? i always find learning tunes i like, rather than "memorizing tunes" to be a ton more fun and productive
