Country Boy Rock and Roll

A Call to all Bluegrass Flatpickers and B-Bent Twangers:

If you even have the general progression for "Country Boy Rock and Roll" it'd be a great help. I know it starts on D, and I've picked up a few licks from Marty Stuart's juiced up version. It's frustrating not to even be able to find Clarence's original flatpicked recording of the song or any tab of any kind. Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

IIRC, the chord progression is D G D A G A D. I don't know that you mean by Clarence's "original" recording - Don Reno flatpicked the solo on this song in the 1950's, didn't he?

I misspoke, I meant to say the artist which the song is most commonly associated with.

You will need the Tabledit program but there is a tab at the Flatpickers Hangout here http://www.flatpickerhangout.com/w/t...d+guitar/tabs/

some people like ...... ?

what about the lyrics of the song ?
I checked on the internet but I wasn't able to find the lyrics...and since people tend to make a "fool out of me" too, for my playing obsession, I was curious to know....

I'm not an english speaker (that is, I can read and write, but fast spoken english is hard to understand for me...)

I believe Country Boy Rock N Roll is actually an older traditional bluegrass song. It seems to me that I was able to find lyrics by doing a google search.
