Let me steal your licks.

What are your go-to always transferrable country fills and lead-ins. I'm in a rut and I want out. Cough em up.

Speed Lick from Don Rich 101, triplets

Code:
------------------
------------------
-4-2-0------------
-------4-2-0------
-------------3-0--
------------------
And then there's a variation I stole from Forest Lee Jr and goofed around with.

Code:
-----------------------------
-----------------------------
-4-2-0---0-------------------
-------4---4-2-0-------------
-----------------4-2-0---0---
-----------------------3-----
Both in the key of 'A'.

I like to string the Lester Flatt Lick along the Neck, to make longer Runs. Like below.
The Timing is 1/4 Note followed by 1/8 Notes. (Count: 1 2&3&4&)
Until the last Measure. Then, either 1/4 or 1/8 Notes. Whatever fits the Tune.

Code:
-|--------------|--------------|------------10h12p10|-15-12-------|------|-|--
-|--------------|--------------|-8-10h11h12---------|-------15-12-|------|-|--
-|--------------|---------7h9p7|--------------------|-------------|-12v--|-|--
-|--------------|-5-7h8h9------|--------------------|-------------|------|-|--
-|---------5h7p5|--------------|--------------------|-------------|------|-|--
-|-3-5h6h7------|--------------|--------------------|-------------|------|-|--

hybrid pick it, fast in "G"

---3----------------------------------------------------------
-----3------5--------3--------1--------3-------3-------------
-4------------5--------4--------0--------2-------2-------0----
----------5--------5--------2--------0-------------------0----
---------------------------------------------------------x----
----------------------------------------------2----------3---

treat 'em as sixteenth notes with a sixteenth note rest after every group of three...so note, note, note, rest, note, note, note, rest, and so on.

keep it snappy, and for extra twang, play a low F# instead of a low G with the open D and G, and bend the F# up to a G.

Sup,this is my first post so i guess i gotta give back. here's a nifty little run in key of C

------------8-6---
----------------876---678--45
--------------------89--------5
--------------------------------
--------------------------------
---------------------------------

and here a nice but generic fill I like to use behind singers, I try to not use it too much.
Little 6ths fills cool to mix em up.

Trust me, I don't have anything you want to steal, or even be accused of playing. ;)

hmm.let's see I play bottle let me down a lil different, not gonna tab the whole thing though, gotta like mow 2 acres with a push mower...
k, lets see WB means "whole bend",and PB will mean "prebend". WHOLE BEND UP TWO FRETS like 16to the(18)fret.AND PREBEND (18)back down to the 16fret ,Ya just prebend up 2 frets first and then strike it as you release.BR=bend&release means strike bend first then release,HB means hold bend, won't be no half step bends i don't believe.
song starts in A then resolves to D major
-------------------------------15--------------------------
----------------------------17---17----------------------17
--------14-16-14--wb16-(18)-------BR16(18)16-14-B16B16
--14-16-----------------------------------------bend twice
-------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------xxxWB7(9)-(9)WB7(9)(9)--------
----14----14----14----14-no release on this ^------------PB(8)-6-PB(8)
wb14-wb14-wb14-wb14-PB14--14-14---------------------------------7
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------

-----------------2------------------------------------------------
-----------------3-----------------------------------------------
-----------------2------------------------------------------
---5--3--0------0------------------
-------------------------------------------
------------3-1-------------

that's the intro hope thats not to confusing..lol didn't mean to reinvent the wheel with all the whole bend crap oh course play along with the record to get the phrasing right. I'll give some fills next then I gotta get..

allright last of the bottle licks, here we go of course there are other parts you can figure on your own, but one of the tricky ones was this steel lick during the second verse.

I've allways had a bottle, I could turn to. key off the word "bottle" then start this lick
---7---------------10trill7
----10----------10-------10
------BR9-7-HB9 ---------BR9-7
------------------------------
----------------------------
-----------------------------
and lately I've been turning every day...(day)<key word
then this cool steel part
-------------------------------
----------8----10----8----10
------8-9--8-9---8-9--8-9
------------------------------
----------------------------
------------------------

-----19-----17--
---17----15------17----15
---------------16----14------16---14
---------------------------14---12------14---12
--------------------------------------12---10
-----------------------------------------------

---------------------
--------------
----------------
---------------
-2--2--2---2
0--3--0--3 ect...
