Maiden's Prayer Chords

Can anyone point me to, or does anyone have any of the chord progressions for this song?

I just play this (while my dad is playing violin) with straight up major chords but I want to play some of the better jazzier chord versions and progressions.....

NE help would be appreciated, thanks....

Later on I'll post a couple of links to previous posts of how I play this kind of thing; certainly not the last word, but may get you started.

"Maiden's Prayer" is one of those great old songs I have played different ways with different bands. I have played it straight ahead 3 chords and I have played "Jazzy" versions with various passing chords etc.

Let's see what Leon posts. He is usually on the money.

Yeah, that's the way I've always played it, straight ahead and nothing but cowboy chords, but I've been listening to a few guys on youtube like Calvin Vollrath (Outstanding fiddler) and I like those arrangements a whole lot better.

The truth is, I wouldn't do much on this song. I'm not even sure I would ever play an A7 or the walk up I show, or the Bm7 C#m7 turnaround, but I might. The A I show is just the way I play it, you could use a standard A barred chord at that same fret. Same with D chord at the 10th fret.
Code:

Thanks alot Leon, a was looking at a few youtube clips, but I think I got the idea or chord bug, from listening to this clip from Calvins site http://www.calvinvollrath.com/index.php/home/sound
just go down to the Maiden's prayer sound file... I was wondering about those walkdowns from the A-D turnarounds, and then the chords around 0.30 mark...

Thanks for the tab, I haven't tried that arrangement yet, but I sure will later on today, thanks again.

I was wondering what 2 chords they are hitting after hitting the "A" at the 1:58 mark in this video....
