Soul Man Tab
Hey guys, I had never played this song before and just figured it out. I have a habit of writing songs out in my own language so I have a record of them if I ever need them in the future. If this turns into a mess, you can PM me for an MS Word document. Enjoy!

I play it in G (I think that's the Sam & Dave version key), with the verse chords like this:
E------7------5------3-- B------8------5------3-- G------7------5------4-- D------9------7------5-- A------------------------ E------------------------ So essentially the chord is G - moving from a partial "C" shape G to a partial "E" shape G chord via a partial "Em" shape Am passing chord. Playing them like this gets that funky Steve Cropper style. The double stops in the intro would then be transposed up three frets from your E version.
