the chord bible?

I was in tj maxx recently, and i ran across a book called te chord bible. of course, I was too cheap to pay $7 for it for some unknown reason, and I now regret that decision. That being said, is there any online resource like it? it had chord positions up and down the neck and with different inversions, and with the root on either the 6th 5th or 4th string, as I recall. I should either pay full price for it or make a trip back up there and scour the shelves, but not if someone can point me to a resource online first.

Go back to TJ and get it. I got one as a present for the holidays and it's a great little resource.

while you're at it, pick up a copy of ted greene's "chord chemistry." teaches you how to use 'em, and how to find your own. a good volume to go along with the reference book...

i always get preachy on this subject, but i'm a firm believer that you could either: memorize a thousand chords, or, learn how to make any chord you want in any situation. i feel that the latter is so much more benefical to your playing. i'll shut up now.

See if it's still at TJ Maxx. Online is great, but having a book right there is a big plus.

If it's one of those half size books (tall and narrow), it's totally worth the $7 just to keep in your gig bag. It'll be a handy reference to double check that the chord you just constructed is correct!

jazztele, i'm with you, Ted Greene's 'Chord Chemistry' is an invaluable resource. However if your new to chords it can seem a little hardcore and daunting as it does assume you know a little bit about chords and theory already (this is mentioned in the books intro anyway!!!), but saying that... learning how chords are built... means you can know virtually any chord anywhere... kinda cool huh?!
