Message in a bottle - harmonics

Guys , Anyone played the harmonics on this song and got anywhere close to how it sounds on the record ? I'm talking about the ones after the first lead guitar solo at about 2 mins 10 secs . I'm figuring he does a backward strum over a 2nd position Fm chord , and then ( an octave above ) using thumb and finger ( thumb and plec doesn't cut it ) plays false/harp harmonics . I've tried harps , and also tried tapping the harmonics , but no cigar . Just doesn't sound right to me . The song is about 150bpm , and i'm presuming he uses both chorus and delay . The guy certainly doesn't play it live in all the vids i've seen , which I can't really blame him , but have you ?

Code:

----------------------2-------------------2-(14)-----------------------
--------2----------------------------2-(14)----------------------------
-------------------------2-(14)----------------------------------------
--------------2-(14)---------------------------------------------------
---2-------------------------------------------------------------------

Something like the above ?

Cheers .

FWIW - on his instruction video (which is pretty good BTW) he plays it exactly as you describe.

I've seen those YouTube videos before - but they're not from his Hotlicks DVD - I wonder where they come from originally. He's a good one to watch - does a great job of showing/explaining.
