Roam intro (B52's)

Anyone know how to play the intro to Roam by the B52's? I now play it in the 1st position around the E chord shape, but it doesn't quite sound right.

Any suggestions?

My band is fronted by two classically trained sopranos. We do Roam and Love Shack by the B52s. Not too hard, but fun to play.

Do this twice. Its also the bridge.
Code:

------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
-------9---7-------------9----7---------7------------------
----------------9------------------9----------9------------
---7----------------10-----------------------------10------
------------------------------------------------------------

Do you have the rhythm part down yet?

Hmm, that's quite different from what I play:

Code:

--0-0--------------0-0---------------------------------------------
---------0-3-0-3--------0-3-0-------------------------------------
----------------------------------1b1------------------------------
------------------------------------------2-------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll have another listen with your TAB.

For rhythm, I mostly play powerchords, I haven't really sorted those out. We have two guitarists, and the other one plays the open chords.

Just found some live registrations. Looks like here he plays it around the 4th or 5th fret:
