I-VI-II-V progression
Here's a Jazzy little progression I was messing w/ last night. It's a Cmaj7 > A7#5 > Dm9 > G7#5 ditty that can work in alot of situations. I was playing this fingerstyle at first, but works well w/ "thumb style" downstrokes Mess with it as you wish!!!
------------------------------- ----5----6----5----4--------- ----4----6----5----4--------- ----5----5----3----3--------- ----3----x----5----x--------- ---------5----------3--------- I haven't put in any rythmic notes so your own ears can guide the changes. Sure, this stuff isn't chickin pickin'/burn the bar down stuff that we normally associate w/ Tele pickin', but you can never learn too much!!! CHEERS!!!

There are thousands, probably millions of Tele players who don't do the "chickin pickin'/burn the bar down stuff".
Steve Cropper, Cornell Dupree, Mike Stern and Ed Bickert to name but a few. And me... I associate the Tele with a really great guitar that can cut just about any style you throw at it. Nice I VI II V turnaround, BTW.
