Listing to that clip, I would say the words are
"Tell me baby, which one of us would you rather" ..."rather" pronounced as "ruuh-ther"-- for the heck of it and to make it almost rhyme with lover and sort of sound like "other" I could be wrong but that's my story and I'm sticking with it. Joe Former Austin TX Homeboy |

I have trouble with the last word; I think it's rather, but maybe the closely related 'druther.

I think the point is you're supposed to have trouble with it... It's a blues song...poor dude is in such an awful situation it is hard to even say it right. |
