Equal time backing track

Wouldn't it be cool if the producers of backing tracks would try something like this?

Lets say the backing track is a cool 12 bar blues progression. The guitar on the backing track would play rhythm for 24 bars allowing the listener to solo, and then the studio guy would solo for 24 bars while the listener played rhythm with the band behind the solo. The track would alternate through it's entirety inciting the listener/player to hone both lead and rhythm skills.

I do this with the backing track discs I have and it's pretty cool.
