What Graphtech TUSQ nut I buy for my Bullet? http://www.graphtech.com/products.html?SubCategoryID=4
None of the measurements ain't exactly right. Or am I just a very bad in measuring the old nut? I guess someone here has bought a new TUSQ nut for Bullet strat, so which one of those will fit for Bullet? |

I bought a sunburst Bullet Strat for my stepson last Xmas. I thought it played great and sounded great too, but I had to do a set-up, as the intonation was WAY off. Now it can be tuned and it stays in tune pretty well, but I am contemplating a tuner upgrade.
I think the PUs sound good so I'm not rushing to swap them out, and in fact, I'm a bit surprised how many people rush to do that. But I guess when you have the modding bug, you just feel an irresistible urge to change things. I'll do some A/B-ing of the Bullet vs a MIA Strat before I'm convinced I need to do a PU change. And I know I've posted this elsewhere, but I think it's supremely lame to replace the Squier decal with a Fender one. Modding is one thing, being deceitful is another. |

I have recently converted a Squire Affinity into a great sounding esquire, and I am proud of the headstock logo. There are many many great guitars out there, but it seems that only having the "correct" logo is acceptable - no matter what it takes - even using counterfiet measures. If people don't like the truth then tuff. |

Seafoam Green, not Daphne Blue
got my Bullet Strat this morning. it's not the Daphne Blue i've been yearning for. definitely closer to seafoam green or maybe surf green. i may return it and get an arctic white one.

Strangely, I've play tested dozens and dozens of Bullets before I found a really good one that I bought. Of all the Bullets I've seen, the daphne blues and sunbursts have been the most consistent in terms of build (e.g. uneven finish applied on the body, tight neck pocket, well dressed frets, faulty decals, bad tuners, etc.) Of course, your mileage may vary. And yeah the Bullet's daphne blue is more so a seafoam green, but it's a very nice color (one of my faves personally). The Bullet's fiesta red is also not really a fiesta red either, but rather a shade or two darker. |

One thing I like about the Made in Mexico Strats is that the poly finish is thicker and less likely to scratch or dent. The finish on the Bullets is thinner and the basswood dents way easier than alder bodies. |

I think I remember Kid Klash telling me that the earlier run of the Squier Bullets (maybe last year?) had the real daphne blue, but the later run of this year or so is more like seafoam green. Maybe if you can get one of the earlier Bullets from 2008 it'll be the real blue.
I may be wrong... |

In any case, mine definitely is Surf Green (57), not Daphne Blue (04). You can compare it to the photos on the Fender color chart. http://www.fender.com/resources/colors/
