I have a Custom Shop Strat, I do not know which model it is however. Is there any way of telling from the serial number?

I doubt it's a Crey model because it's not a hardtail, and because all of the Fender celebrity guitars have a signature decal on the headstock. Wonder what it is?????

I'm guessing that it's not a Cray, as yours has a Maple neck where the Cray would be rosewood. Do I see that it's a three tone SB ??? w / a single ply guard ? I'm thinking that it's an early model (mid 90's anyway) and that it's a 58 or 50's RI. I also think from that pick-up paint dots that it has Texas Specials. If it's all original I'm betting on it being a 58 RI.

Have you looked at the nect Date?? I bet it's a 96 or 97.

1996-97 would be my guess also.

cheers folks. I will whip off the neck when I next change the strings. I bought it from Manny's in New York, he believed it was a 54, it just played and sounded so good compared to anything else I played I had to have it!!Its defo in my never part with collection. Cheers for all the info. Rob
