That is a USA Production guitar that has gold parts and a line neck. That is what the CS did back then, and it was before the Master Builder program.

The dot spacing is wrong, which is what the factory was doing back then, too.

Chances are, Fred did the fret dressing or something similar and then signed the neck.

It's nice, but not that ($$$$$$$$) nice...
