B. Hefner Company

Hi Guys,

Has anybody bought anything off these guys before? They are taking an age to do my custom body.

I bought a body from them. No problems. Heard the same 'bad info' but never from anyone who actually bought anything and nobody I actually know.

USACG

I'd talk to Tommy or Rob over at USA Custom Guitars. They have the right temperament. I can't think of anything more painful than a long wait with no clear idea of whether you'll get what you want. Go where they like what they're doing and like people such as you and me.

It's finally arrived!

I finally got the body and it's actually a really good piece of work. Due to the time they had taken they sent me one of their "premium" bodies which are 4lbs or under in weight.

I'm going to do it in a Mary Kaye style white blonde. Do I finish the body before drilling all the screw holes or do I drill the screw holes and then finish the body?

Great news. Post some pictures of before and after.

I have got some good bodies from Bernie at B Hefner. Sometimes you have to call them and remind them to ship it though.

I've done it both ways, and each has its' advantages...but it's probably best to wait until the body is done and the lacquer has had plenty of curing time before drilling.
