I've owned many strats over the years, including a Custom Shop strat, an Eric Johnson, many more. I sold all the rest, and this is the only strat I'll ever own the rest of my life. A 2000 Deluxe, just perfect... and my wife loves it too, its her favorite color.

My first Fender was this MIM 50's style Daphne Blue Strat. I liked it so well, I thought I'd try an MIM Tele-- now I have three!

Moderators, correct me if I'm wrong, but we're at 2246 now.

Anyway, here's 2247 and 2248. The one in sonic blue is a Blacktop HH Stratocaster, and the satin charcoal one is an FSR HSH Stratocaster (very rare cousin of the HSH Blacktop Stratocaster).

The Blacktop has been modded with a bone nut, a barrel-style string tree, and I swapped in Elixir coated 9's; it stays in tune wonderfully now.

Also, on the asthetics side of things, I changed the switch tip to a white one, changed the inlay dots to white, swapped the Blacktop knobs with the chrome barrel ones off my Precision Bass Special, and I also added a set of Fender chrome strap locks.

I grew up playing them, fit the body so confortable, then I became accustomed to the Trem use. Rest is History. I like Teles also through.
