Neck help, MIM

I've got a MIM Strat on the way and it has a rosewood neck I'd like to swap out for a Maple neck. I have a couple questions:

Will any year model MIM neck fit any year MIM body?

Will a MIM 50's or 60's neck fit a MIM standard body?

Any other necks that will fit?

Yes
Yes
Yes, any fender replacement strat neck (AllParts, Mighty Mite, Warmoth, etc.) should fit

Are you sure because I think I remeber reading that the USA neck pockets are different than the MIM.

I asked a customer service guy at Warmoth this exact question and his response was that the neck pockets can vary. To be sure go to the neck section on the Warmoth site and under the FAQ section there is a link to "What neck will fit" - check the specs and measure the neck pocket. According to him NOT all necks will fit.

I have a 2006 MIM Strat with maple neck. I have thought of going rosewood. Wonder if you want to consider a simple trade?

I have a question, Aren't the serial numbers on the head of the neck? If you swap, will you have the wrong # on the wrong guitar? Probably wouldn't make any difference unless there is a warranty involved. I was just wondering.

Well, let me know if you still want to trade.

To me it's no big deal because there are SSOO many of these made that originality is a non issue. But if it's important to you then let me know.

I don't worry about origanal equipment. These are no way collectable and never will be. My only hesitation is what if I prefer my origanal neck? And this was a gift from my sister, and wonder if I should. But she wouldn't care one bit. So how about a trial period where either of us can say no and we send them back to each other? When do you expect to get your from your guy?

I built a partscaster with an 86 Fender MIJ Squire neck and a 96 MIM RI strat body...fit like a glove.

Nope, haven't gotten it yet. He sent it on monday. If it's was a gift from your sis and you want to keep it that's totally cool, heck I may decide I like the neck when I actually get my hands on it.

I like the pics you posted, the rosewood seems to be more fitting to the blue and the maple to the red.
