bridge help!

ok so i had this old strat copy laying around. decided to repaint it and get a prewire pickguard from stew mac. the pickguard didnt fit because it is a knockoff body, but i was able to transfer it and such.

the problem i have is that my bridge is royaly screwed up. the high e string is about a quarter of an inch above the rest of the strings. the low e string is all crooked. i need to adjust those little poles, how do i do that?!

this is what she finally looks like, nothing special, but something i can bang around on when i get violent.

You need to get a tiny little allen wrench and play with the string height. You should start by setting the high and low E strings to where you think they feel right. Then with the other strings the saddle pieces should match the radius of the fretboard. You can do a fairly good job of this by sighting from the bridge to neck. If that doesn't work for you, just set them to where you feel comfortable.
Good luck.

When you raise the height of the saddles remember to loosen that particular string first or the increased tension will break it. Opposite will occur when you lower, the string will go flat and need to be tuned up.
Then you need to set the string length, I'm fairly sure Fender describes this on their website.
