hey, all - i recently bought a '97 fender roadhouse strat. it came in the case with the original sales ticket and that's what's printed on it anyway. my question is this - what kind of pickups were stock on this model? i believe the ones on this gtr are stock (and sound great!), but i'd just like to know more about them. in fact, tell me all you can about this model.
the one i got is a 3 color 'burst with rosewood 'board and has a (stock) brown-tortoise pickguard. i've already replaced the american standard sustain block with one of callaham's, but everything else i've left alone. there is very moderate fret wear and no scratches at all, but all of the finish has been removed from the back of the neck. there was significant nicotine funk all over the thing and the back of the neck is heavily nicotine discolored. cool vibe, but it took a while to get the stink off.
all in all, it's a killer playing and sounding axe, i'd just like some more info on this particular model of strat variant.

I think it's Texas Specials. The Roadhouse Strat was replaced with the Texas Special Strat, smokin guitar, I bought one last year.
