My new Deluxe Players' Strat

I know this isn't the top-of-the-line Strat but I do really love it. After 30 years of playing, I finally broke down and got a Strat.

I recently played a few of those and was very impressed with the sound, playability and the build quality.

Those are great Strats!! Looks cool with a gold anodized pickguard or pearl white too.

Nice Strat! My brother just got a red one despite my urging him to get the blue one. Good to see that someone has some taste.

+1 on the white pearl pickguard.

The pushbutton switch adds the lead pickup in the 4th and 5th positions. I think it thickens the 4th position sound but I really like it best in the 5th position, where it gives some bite. You can really get some fairly cool lead tones in the 5th position now.

I think the pearl white pg would look better on the sunburst than the blue. But I don't like the sunburst with the tortoise-shell. It needs a white pg to look truly classic. The gold-anodized would look decent but maybe just a little too flashy for my personal taste.
