White plastic parts

How does one go about ageing pickup covers and white pickguards (esp. pearloid ones)?
Any ideas?

I've heard of dunking them in coffee or tea for a long time.

Yeah, some really strong coffee worked like a charme for me. I first went over the pickguard with a very light steel wool, then left it in the coffee over night, I suppose you could leave it in longer though for a darker look too.

I used coffee and tea and they didn't do anything. I then used Kiwi brown shoe polish. That did the trick.

save yourself the grief . . .

Buy the set . . . pup covers, rear cover, knobs, and two tips . . . $15

You can be totally swapped out in 30 minutes or less . . . the soaking in coffee or tea doesn't work, and though the shoepolish will work - at best, it's temporary!
