Hendrix trem set up question

Does anyone know how Hendrix set up his trem (floating or non floating, number of springs, etc.) ?

Thanks in advance

My guess.....
Floating and 5 springs.
He did an awful lot of whangin' on that thing. I guess he'd want it in both directions and as stable as possible.

i've seen pix of Hendrix playing, where the back of his Strat is/was visible.....no trem cover plate, and 5 springs with what seemed to be a fair amount of tension.....i don't believe i ever heard "uptrem" in his playing, always down....

5 springs and floating (at least on the Strat he used on "Jimi Plays Berkeley"). Also bend the bar up so you can drop it further.

5 springs for sure and.... uh? floating???

even with the 2 screws nearly unthreaded mine is hard as a rock with .10s

yet with a standard trem bar and 5 springs you'd badly bend the bar before the bridge moves up... better using a Callaham virtual pop-in hard steel bar IMO

unless....

You got me floatin' round and round,
Always up, you never let me down
The amazing thing, you turn me on naturally,
And I kiss you when I please....

how heavy must the strings be then? He must of used a heavy gauge or else it would have been completely flat with both of the screws barely in the wood.
