Vintage and 2 point Trems

Hey,
I've almost always been a tele player, and as such am used to standard (non-trem) bridges. Lately i've wanted to buy a strat, but find my self confronted with vintage and 2-point Synchronized tremolos. What exactly is the difference between the two? Also Fender says the new bridge has a pop in arm. How is that different from the standard trem arm...no need to screw it in?

One has 6 points to pivot on, one has 2. Supposedly 6 points transfer more string vibration, but 2 points are smoother with less chance of binding. The Wilkinson 5+1 is supposed to address the issue and it seems to be getting good reviews.
