Genuine Fender Replacement Necks???

I swear that about this time last year I saw genuine Fender replacement necks and bodies for sale on a web site somewhere, complete with branding. Legitimately. It was at someplace bigger like Musicians Friend, or Acme or something. If I recall, they were offered in sunburst & maybe red? Colors were limited, but somebody had them. Now that I actually want one, I can't find them anywhere & Fender's site claims that they don't sell them.

Does Anybody know where/if I can find them? Did I imagine the whole thing? Did they sell them for a time & then stop? Is this all an Al Queda plot, meant to pollute our precious bodily fluids?

They stopped making them. Fender also took back all the unsold one's from dealers. I bought the 57 reissue neck before the stoppage, fantastic neck.

Since Fender quit selling them last year a couple places on Ebay ran by the same people buy Fenders and disassemble them.

You can pretty much buy any style of body neck or parts from the lower cost models and sometimes they even get Custom Shop stuff.

reliablefender, aka, The Stratosphere is the big ebay chop shop. He's pretty much just buying Fenders on ebay and parting them out. He has several buyer accounts (I know of at least 2 and probably 3) and you can find them buy searching completed auctions for Fenders and when you find one where the winning bidder has "private" feedback, that's most likely him. You can then do an advanced search and search that private user id and if you get a lot of activity, you can bet it's him. To bring it home, check the auctions he bid/won....If they're all Fenders, it's definitely him.

I have a strat replacement neck that I`m not using ..I saw one go on ebay for 321 bucks plus shipping . If anyone out there wants to talk money . I`d sell it ..Some guy bought it , put it on a guitar , didn`t like it ,sold the guitar ...ZERO wear of any kind ...pardon me if this is not the forum way to post a fs ad ....I was really just holding on to it for the future ,,thanks
