Show us your Strat
Hey,
I thought it would be a good idea to open a thread in which (everyone who wants to) you can post a picture of your Strat and tell us the story of it, the specs, what is special about it. I think there's a great story behind every instrument, and if not at least great specs or specialities. So this is mine: http://www.tube-town.de/ttforum/inde...0;id=259;image http://www.tube-town.de/ttforum/inde...0;id=260;image http://www.tube-town.de/ttforum/inde...0;id=261;image http://www.tube-town.de/ttforum/inde...0;id=262;image http://www.tube-town.de/ttforum/inde...0;id=263;image http://www.tube-town.de/ttforum/inde...0;id=264;image O.K. It's a custom built "Haar" Stratocaster made in Netherlands. I orderd it in August and recieved it in in December. The great thing about it, it looks great, it feels great and it sounds awsome! Actually I wanted a Fender CS Strat but as this one just costs the half I got me some other stuff :D The specs: Neck: -Flame Maple with Brazillian Rosewood Slapboard -Compund Radius (7.25"-10") -thick C shaped back Body: -Alder 2 pieces -3TSB -"medium" (seems to me like hardcore aged)aged Hardware: -Vintage Style tuners, tremolo -CTS Pots, CRL Switch -Van Zandt Blues Pickups The sound is undiscribable, really bluesy fat, but clear, really awsome. And the hompage: www.haarguitars.nl Mel |

sounds like a cool guitar but I can't see it since you apperantly need to make an account with that hosting site.
I'll post mine next week when I get it back from my friend who's using it.

This is my MIJ 68 RI Strat. It has an ash body, I put on a white moto pickguard and trem cover, and slid in a set of CS Fat 50s pups.

My strats.
![]() On the right, my lipstick red 1989 Squier Strat "the veteran" Bought new on my fifteenth birthday in 1991. It has a Dimarzio Soapbar at the bridge and a Kahler Professional tremolo, I replaced it's original neck with a 1983 Fernandes neck which had a (non original) Lock nut installed. On the left, "The Blonde" which like "The Veteran" has a Fernandes neck, the body comes from a sale of strat bodies that a collegue of mine informed me of. It has two fender American standard pickups (Neck and Middle) and a Dimarzio HS3 at the bridge. I installed a Graphtech nut and a stringtree and they really keep the thing in tune when I use the whammy. Go here for a high res picture of my strats

James, are you old enough to enter a pub and order a drink? If you're not old enough, I'll just wait for that drink until you are. Joel

It really bugs me that I don't know what it is, I want to get myself another as a backup! It's the best Squier I have EVER played, better than most Mex standards I've played too.. So ladies and gents, that drink is still on offer, any takers? Thanks for the suggestion though. :) |

James, did you buy that Strat new or used? If used, do you suspect it's a partscaster--one that someone might have put together from a lot of good Strat parts? It's a heck of a great-looking Strat. Joel

My fave is my Custom Shop strat. It was one of the earliest custom shop strats- before it was 'open to the public' or made any production models. It was built to order by JW Black. Silver sparkle Nitro finish is aging greenish gold. I swapped the pickguard and pickups from an old '66 I had onto it. Matching silver sparkle caps. It's the one I recorded 'certain stuff' on, so you might have heard what it sounds like. Note the bent talent lever!
