It's nothin' special, just another damn guitar. To me they are kinda like shovels.
Pretty shovel, though....

The fact that it had a birdseye neck, did make me suspect a partscaster, but then a short while after Telefreak told me he'd picked a red one with the same odd spec, second hand, but he didn't know any more about it than I did. :( Oh yeah, and if it helps at all, I know the guy was on holiday from Italy who part exchanged it in the shop for a horribly built bottom of the line Ibanez RG. (I was on work experience from school at the guitar shop at the time.) |

-Here's my Strat. It's an older body with a Fernandes LE-1 neck. Sorry, but when I was salvaging her from an idiot owner, the Fender neck at the time just didn't do it for me. This one has jumbo frets and a 14" radius even though it's still a 21 fretter. It even has a bit of flame going on in it. Stock p'ups with newer CTS pots and CRL switch. Now I kind of wish I held onto the original neck. I did a sort of french polish on the body. I had to remove a few layers of paint first though. I have her strung up with Ernie Ball Classic Power Slinky's 11-48's. Sweet!

mine ..
I have two ..
1) 2001 sunburst American Series (w/upgraded Swamp Ash body) with rosewood fretboard. 2) 2005 Daphne Blue 50's Reissue with maple fretboard (Just came in today!) The acoustic is a Fender Parlor. Amps are Allen Amps Old Flame (2x10) - bottom left, Fargen Epic (2x10) - bottom right, and home-built tweed Champ in a modern Champ cab (w/Weber 8" alnico signature) - top right.

I don't have an idividual pic, but here is the whole family. The strat is a custom shop ash strat. I don't really like the colour too much, but it sounds great (as long as the bridge is floating). The rest are a Martin acoustic 00, a Hofner Jazz box (sounds great) and my favourite a custom shop tele (this thing just sounds better than any other guitar I have ever played).

my two
My two working strats. The burn-o-caster has been through hell and back. It was a '94 custom shop that survived a house fire. (I did replace the neck and the pickups on this) It has been played by Jonny Lang and is my primary guitar. The surf green guitar is a '75 strat that is a refin with EMG pickups.

Here's mine. It's a USACG featherweight 1pc swamp ash body attached to a slightly curly/flamey maple capped bellbottom (CBS) headstocked neck with black pearl inlays, jumbo frets, fatback 9.5" radius, Gotoh 'Kluson' staggered tuners, and Earvana compensated nut.
The bridge is a Callaham vintage trem. The pickups are Fender CS69s and it has no-load tone pots with a tone on the bridge pickup (instead of mid). Reranch blonde ultra thin nitro finish. It sounds and plays fantastic :D

cheap but loveable
Here's my Squier Bullet Strat, autographed by Robert Cray. Except for the signature, the only thing different about it is the Deaf-Eddie Fat-O-Caster switch in the middle. Just had it set up, thing is remarkable. Weighs nothing, neck real nice (if a bit thin for my tastes), stays/plays in tune, GREAT tonal variety available (thanks Eddie!). I've been thinking about replacing the pickguard to preserve the autograph, maybe putting on a black one or silver paisley or tortoise...suggestions? Or is there a sure-fire way to preserve the writing?

Anyone have a pic of a black Strat, maple board, that has a mint green pickguard . . . maybe aged covers and knobs?
I always try to preserve the original (parchment in this case), and the white parchment is a little to bright for me. Would the mint pickguard (nd aged knobs/pickup covers)look OK on black? |
