I can just see the craigslist ad now- "hardly noticeable and doesn't affect playability"

$20 from a thrift store. Sadly, It's one of those great Korean Squier necks. I got it for the pick guard and pickups to put on another Korean Squire Strat. Now, I'm thinking of putting it together and making it play. Going for that "most trashed guitars" look.

Maybe somebody trying to mark it as a"used" instrument. Can't have any warranty fraud, now can we?

Maybe glue a plug in it....could be a bad fret end job or perhaps an evil person charged with a grinder and the guitar saved his life?

Have to wonder about the trussrod though, if it still works? I don't think it would be too hard to plug the slot but if the truss rod is damaged just junk it .

Ive seen some dumb things done to guitars. Mostly just innocent stuff that can be fixed...

I believe this one takes the cake. I saw it and literally just said "why?!" to myself 3 times haha.

Jokes aside, if this is a flat sawn neck, its toast. It WILL bend in that spot and warp out pretty badly. If its quarter sawn, you may be able to plug it up real well, and make it usable perhaps.

Too bad it's one of the nice necks--I had one of those a few years ago, but the body was plywood and weighed a ton. Truss rod will probably be OK for light strings.

I can't see a guitar player getting so messed up he tried to saw his neck in two.I think a guy would most likely smash it al la The Who.Looks like the work of a jealous girlfreind or wife, when she saw sparks from the truss rod she got scared and stopped
