I have a 2005 MIM headstock/neck that is quite pale - what is the best and safest method of applying an amber colored laquer direct onto the headstock and neck that won't damage the Fender logo?

I want to get a light amber color happening on the headstock so it won't look so...pale and anaemic.

i also remember someone saying kiwi shoe polish works as well, is this true.

I used shoe polish on my MIM Jazz Bass neck. It looks good.

The Kiwi treatment works great. Cheap and easy. Wipe on, leave for a couple of minutes, wipe off. Doesn't wipe off.
