Question on pup covers.....
I just bought a Squier Strat that is cherry burst (beautiful!). The pickguard and pup covers are mint green. I have other Fender pups that I'd prefer in there, but their covers are white.
So, my question is.... would it be safe to exchange the pup hardware only with, say CS 69's? Thoughts, ideas or info? PB 8) 8) |

I recently changed over a Chinese strat pup covers and they fit just fine. Physically there is little difference.
You might find that the Squier p'up poles won't come through the plastic as far with the new covers, but that is an easy fix, just move the pickup a little closer to the string and you won't know. You certainly can't tell when more than a foot from the guitar!. Works fine! |
