daves's guitars has new 57 reissues for $1250

I bought one last night...talked with them today. They said they were new but a few years old. I do not understand why Fender discontinued such a popular instrument, but I sure am glad they did.I got a seafoam green with a maple neck. Exactly the one I have wanted for years. They are listed under used fender's, as fender told them to do this. The condition they list is EC+. It may be best to call them, but i jumped on mine after they had closed last night, and just called for details today.

I hope this helps someone,

They have a ton of new listings under the used Fender section. Wonder if they bought out a store somewhere. Thanks for the heads up.

I just spoke to them. The guy that I spoke to said that they are actually used. They bought some guy's collection. But they are basically brand new because the guy was a collector, not a player.

That is very interesting, because they told me they got them from fender and fender made them sell them as used. Salesmen are known for telling the truth, so who knows. Your collector story makes more sense. I got mine today...been playing for 40 years. I generally sell and buy one or 2 every month. So after deciding that this was the best electric guitar I've ever played in every way. I was going to buy a Daphne Blue 57. I saw a seafoam, and in truth was only looking for blue color, but they are selling out. I played this right out of the box...no setup or even strings needed. What a pleasant surprise. I've found my match and i was born in 57. Buy one while you can!
