New American Deluxe Strat in the house...

I decided to keep one Strat, so I sold off my others and bought an almost new A.D Strat.

I love it. The detailing on it is very nice, and now that I'm used to the noiseless p/u's, I don't thnk I would go back.

It's one of the first Strats that I've had that I actually like the bridge p/u, and use it alot.

Well done, Fender!

I bought an American Deluxe V-neck Strat last summer, and it's one of my favorite guitars. Great neck and acoustic tone, and the SCN pickups sound really nice. The bridge pickup is especially excellent, and a couple of the S1-down tones are very useful.

I'm with you guys on the AmDlx Strat...

I bought mine new in '04 and have played it so much it already has noticeable fret wear. Those SCN p'ups are just plain wonderful. I find them smooth, rich and powerful as well as silent as can be. This is the first Strat I've had where the bridge pup is really great by itself. It'll give you almost as good a version of "Buckaroo" as a Tele. I find I play this axe almost exclusivelly anymore.

I agree Brian, the AMDLX Strat is a great guitar. The S1 system works great too. But after this Christmas, I don't dare stray from my 2 new Teles

Maybe an AMDLX strat will be next year's acquisition.
