New pickup problem

I just bought a set of gfs vintage wound 59 pickups for my strat and installed them. The problem is, the neck pickup is really bright, and has almost no bass. The middle pickup is fuller and bassier. I made sure i didnt make a mistake wiring (because i tried some new-funky tone wireup) and its all wired correctly, any chance you guys can help diagnose where i went wrong?

Actually the bridge pickup is bassier too. The tone control for both the bridge and the middle can cut down on WAY more treble than the neck

Try adjusting the height of the pickups... That can really effect the brightness/darkness of the pups. It could also be your caps etc. but I'd look at the up height.

Cheers

This is going to sound ridiculous, but is your switch the right way round?

It is wired the right way i made sure. In starting to think its just electrically out of phase due to a mixup in the color of the wire used on the ground and hot wires. Im gonna take it apart and do a quick switch later tonight. Thanks for all the help guys! Ill let you know how it works out!

They really sound wonky if you get 'em out of phase. Playing any one pickup is not bad, but when you combine any two of them they sound terrible. ( Unless out of phase happens to be your bag)
