Will a Fender neck fit a Squier body?

Picked up a "vintage-style" Squire Strat about 10years ago. Great instrument but the electronics sucked. I've replaced those and all sounds good. The neck is just too skinny, though. Would a newer thicker MIM neck fit?

I've put a MIM style neck on a Squier and it fit fine. It wasnt actually a Fender neck, but close enough.

This is a full thickness Squire body with a typical Fender 2004 MIM neck. The dealer told me it was an Alder body, but it was a lie. It is Agathis, a hard wood mostly shuned by Strat lovers. It worked out great for me because this is my "Les Paul Player's Strat". It is not your chimey Strat. Very powerful.

So... I learned one of the things to know about a Squire body. I understand there's more to know.

Yes the neck fit perfectly. Good luck.

A Fender neck is more likely to fit a Squier body than a Squier neck is to fit a Fender body. In my (limited) experience, some Squier necks have very slightly wider heels.

Thanks, all. Looks like I'll be shopping for a new neck tonight!

A 2011 American Standard transplanted onto a 1995 Korean Squier body. The only thing that didn't fit was the bridge/trem block!

I just put a Mighty Mite replacement neck on a Squier Strat SE body, and it fit perfectly. I have a Mighty Mite neck on an MIM Strat body, too. It also fit without any issues.

Cool. I just bought a MIM Strat neck from The Stratosphere on eBay last night.

Well, the screw holes in the body were a little off-angle but after a few seconds with a drill, the neck fit fine and wow! The new medium jumbo frets on the MIM neck play a lot better than the worn vintage frets on the old Squier neck. And the extra thickness of the MIM neck feels a lot better. I hardly had to adjust the intonation, too. Feels like NGD! Thanks for your help, everyone.

The Screw hole mis-alignment is usual, few ways to fix that. I have found the Fender necks fit just slightly more snug on Squier bodys. I've only played around with the CV series with this though.

The Slab board rear TR, Rosewood neck and for example the JV-V EC-V or EJ also make for much adjustment. The Rosewood slab-boards I have found are a bit higher. Add a 12-radius for example the EJ?

I attempted to use a first year Robert Cray 61-C on a JV body. The Cray neck I actually prefer over the SRV which both were here at the time.
I like the Trem so I thought it would be perfect pair.
I could have worked but the saddles would have been too high IMO.

Some go together like hand in glove and the Bolt patten lines up.
