I can't remember the exact size you need for saddles, but MIA Fenders use standard imperial hex keys (.050" perhaps). MIJ and it seems MIM use metric (1.5mm says Google). For the cheap price you can pick bunches of hex keys up, it's worth investing in a set of both. You never know when you need one. And it's never the one you can find :D

(EDIT - a bit more research looking up MIM Strat keys indicates they use metric saddle screws. My MIM 70s Jazz Bass uses imperial keys for the truss rod and saddles. Odd...)

(EDIT AGAIN - Just found out my JB in fact has US hardware. Hurrah! :D )

Thanks for your reply Matt, but after going through many(been playing 39 years poorly) this is the best strat that I've ever owned, so I just need the one for bent steel saddles. I think

The saddle screws tend to be the same for modern and bent steel saddles (Sorry, when I say hex keys I mean Allen wrenches).

Is it this guitar? It has a 0.050" saddle height adjustment wrench in the specs. http://www.fender.com/en-GB/products...?prodNo=013910

Excuse the UK link, but this is what I meant by getting a full bunch of imperial and metric keys: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-36000.../dp/B0001K9THE But you can probably pick them up individually at a hardware store too.

Hope that helps :)

Wow...very nice of you to do that research for me. That's it, and you are very nice to help me. I hope I can return the favor.
