Anyone care to advise as to what it's worth?

Overpriced. In the Chicagoland area, MIM strats are ranging 250-325. Pickups -- Nice, but you're not going to get what you paid for them. For the pickups, high side would be 200.00. IMO your strat with the DG pickups would range from 450-525. See what others will say by that'd be my guestimate.

Better off pulling the Pup's and selling them individually. You'll get more for both. Around here you see Mim's for $250-350. With the EMG's maybe add $50.

I emailed they guy telling him I would make him an offer after I played the guitar. He wrote back and said he was a working musician and penciled me in for between 10-12noon in his studio on Monday. Uhh, I work a regular job, how can I meet this idiot? Or do I want to?

Seriously no more than about $450 -about half of what it's being offer at.
I had a tough time selling my MIA tele for $500 and it was 4 months old.

As far as the pick up go, the guy that bought my guitar wouldn't have bought had I done any modifications to it.

I bought my MIM strat new for NZ$1000 all stock, but then prices are so bad over here!

Forget sellers like that one!

For that price, you can find a nice Fender that was born in Corona. I found one example in a few seconds via an Internet search. PM sent!
