I can't show my non-Fender Strat, it's too embarrassing. SQUIRE BULLET
Strat62, what is that cool sunburst Strat with the mirror pickguard and the sideways humbuckers?

I started calling this guitar R. Stratenstein long before I joined (or knew about, for that matter) TDPRI. One real Gibson humbucker, one fake humbucker, old Harmony Stratone neck (that feels great). I don't like the sound of the fake humbucker, and don't like the location of the switch, so I'm going to convert it to full Stratocaster electronics/pickup/pickguard. (But leave the neck)

![]() ![]() I inherited this Epi Strat when my niece died and I'm 90% sure that it has a plywood body but the neck has a "slim C" profile and is very nicely finished with a Rosewood fingerboard, the set up is perfect and it actually sounds good! On the other hand, the 5-way switch and the pots could use replacing, whenever I decide to get off my butt and heat up the soldering iron. The thing that amazes me is that the guitar is dead stable. I just picked it up and even after it's been sitting on the corner for two months, it's perfectly in tune! Maybe I should dust it off, set it up for slide and play it more often. PS: I LOVE that Stratotone up there! |

Here are mine - the first two are Warmoth Strats which you can assemble yourself. The third one is a 1989 G&L SC-3 - I did the lettering in the early 90's (still young) when I didn't know the meaning of the words Kitsch and tacky...
The blue one 'The Opal' has Fender Hardware and Fender CS 69's. The brown tiger one 'The Tiger' has Fender Hardware and Fender CS Texas Specials. I've got them both sitting in Fender cases for the sake of contrast of the black velvet and guitars. ![]() ![]()

Feel like I've been able to show this guy off a lot recently.
Whoops, sorry. Won't upload my attachments for some reason. Will try again tomorrow

all of my non fender strats are in parts.. again...
this one will be a keeper eventually, all the hardware is here, . one piece US made Alder body (once red).. and this BI maple L neck.. I have played it.. it's since been drilled for bridge posts, etc,,very lively, the wood vibrates in your hands!.. or I might pair it with a regular Fender neck, not sure yet.. My Strats have taken a back seat recently with Teles in the house... . though I've made a few for other people... |
