The knobs: Use two spoons to pry them off.
The switch tip: pull on it.

removing knobs

I loop string under the knobs to pull them off without scratching the pick guard.

Another old trick for removing Strat knobs is to wrap a cloth, like a polish cloth or old T-shirt, under the knob and pull straight up.

I put a screwdriver under the knob, and then slip a pick under the screwdriver. Then pry up. Rotate the knob and repeat.

Rob DiStefano invented a great method that I've been using that's even more gentle than the spoons.

Take an old leather belt, and cut about a 3" slit right through the middle - lengthwise. Then just thread the knob into the slit - like a buttonhole, and pull straight up.

It works great, and is totally non-invasive.

Thanks Rob!!!!!
