Stacked SD
Bought this pickup about 15 years ago, a stacked seymour duncan, transparent plastic with SD logo molded in the plastic. Raised poles g d highest. Has four leads green, black, red and white. The red and white were not used the last time it was in a guitar. What can it do, how to connect it. Anyone knows which pickup it is.

I am not the biggest Seymour Duncan fan, and I have ethical issues with DiMarzio, but here goes my 2¢ if you'd like. The standard Duncan wire 'code' is the white lead is a 'finish' lead, as is the red. The black lead is the 'start' (that finishes at the white), as is the green (that finishes to the red). Tape up the white and red leads, as you have, and use the pickup in the standard hum-bucking mode. The black lead is the 'hot', and the green lead is the 'ground' connection. This is counter-intuitive, but that's Seymour for you. Measure the DC resistance of the whole enchilada, and get an idea of what you have. Because you have pole pieces, it is most likely the 'Classic Stack'. It's a nice pickup, if it lasts.
