google: fender highway seafoam strat

there was an FSR HW1 strat in '07 that was seafoam green with a mint guard, parchmment knobs and pup covers and a rosewood neck. actually just won one on ebay. very excited as they come with CS 69's, and were made in a small run of 150.

I have seen that combo before and it looks great. Probably one of the best combinatios for a mint green pickguard, to be honest. I'll see if I can find a picture.

UPDATE: Couldn't find seafoam, but here's surf with mint:

Well, my body arrived today, and I'm pretty pleased with how it all looks together...Mighty Mite Body, Fender mint green guard, and Fender aged white knobs/covers. The body is a bit more green, and less bluish, than this picture represents...I think it's my flash:

Thanks...I've realized that there's is something about the light over the dining room table that gives it a much more bluish cast than it actually has; took it into the next room and it was back to green. I'm going to do some initial work on Saturday, I'll take more pics then when the light is coming through the windows. Too cold to work on guitars in the shop in the garage!

Well, here it is in completely natural light...my camera just doesn't seem to want to pick up the green in it:

I've got an MJ Tele in aged Daphne blue that reads as seafoam green except in the wear areas.
The Fender mint guard (which is pretty gray) looks great. A greener mint guard from another supplier looks less good. I only have pics with a one ply white guard.

A couple of updated pics...

The wife is making me save my pennies for the Callaham trem and the pickups, so progress will slow down considerably moving forward.

I do think the green comes out a bit more in the second picture. And while I intend to go for a mostly '60s look, I just think the "F" neckplates look really cool.

Gotohs installed; the bar code sticker was removed after this pic was taken...

The Mighty Mite ash body is very nice, my only issue was with the neck pocket...it was a little rough around the edges, and I had to route out a small amount of wood at the back corners to get the neck to seat properly. And, I would say it is definitely more halfway between surf green and sonic blue, than the advertised seafoam green...but I like it!

Thinking about the mid-sized one.
