New Fender American Series Stratocaster Staggered pole Pup's

Hello,

Does anyone have the technical specs on the "new" Fender American Series Stratocaster Staggered pole pup's or any other information? Are they alnico, ceramic, etc.?

Thanks,

TD

I'd be curious also. I love these pickups. Extremely versatile for live performance. (My band plays a mix of country, classic rock, and blues).

Are these the pups your asking about?

They're described as the American Series Strat Pickup. Staggered Alnico 5 pole pieces. Fender combines these with the "delta-tone" pots.

Interesting...the AS stock pickups sppear fairly close to the Custom Shop Texas Special in specs and materials. I know Fender used to use Polysol wire for their Texas Specials, same as these new AS pups. To me, these AS pups have most of the attitude and strength of Texas Specials, without the "in-your-face" mids. The hotter bridge pickup is really a nice touch--very usable and almost like a Tele.

And having a tone control on the bridge pickup is a nice feature too!

That's a 2 min. mod you can do on any Strat. I've been doing it for the last 25 years.
