Well here is another new Stratocaster
I was able to get a deal from a friend on the east coast on his project Strat. Basically he used it to test new parts in. It's basically a hot rodded MiM limited edition standard, but they only made 75 in this color with rosewood necks.
My "old" strat went to my 10 year old son. Lucky kid... ![]() You can see the entire photo spread at: http://photoweborama.ods.org/telebaks/fmt.html |

Its the real deal. I have an OLP that is a photo finish, and up close, there is no comparison. The photos don't do justice to this thing. You have to see it for real to really see it. If you know what I mean! :D
It's awesome in bright sunlight! |

Foto . . .
THAT sounds nasty! I've got a Hamer Strat knockoff that's nothing much to get too excited about, but the finish is a transparent burnt-orange kind of thing that really looks nice. I'd take a mediocre real finish over a phony one any day.
Thanks for the info. Derek |

I've seen some of them that folks have made look decent, but for the most part, I think they look cheesy. I'd just as soon have plain-jane clear/natural finish on a average looking piece of ash or alder.
