This thing is looking amazing. Great work man. My hat's off to ya! Are you going 100% authentic with it? Just curious if it's got the big frets and 10" radius.

Because of larger string size...
Seymour Duncan:
Antiquity II Surf for Strat Custom Bridge
Antiquity II Surf for Strat RW/RP (Middle)
Antiquity II Surf for Strat (Neck)

Huge frets (.118 x .055) and it is a 10" radius.

Done!

It sounds incredible. 13's are a little hard to play, but it does sound good.

it's awesome, the only non authentic thing I see is the alder is a little too plain right there above the pickguard. Stevie's guitar actually had huge gashes in the wood right there, not just the paint, I got to get a good look at the actual guitar in person a last year.

Are you tuned a half step low like Stevie did? E flat, A flat, D flat, etc.?

Wow, that's some incredible work. I wish I had the discipline to take my time like you did here. It really paid off for you. You should be extremely proud.

What?!?! No broken and re-glued headstock? Terrible job!

Just kidding, it's amazing man. Truly amazing. Really a knockout job. As others have said, I wish I had the know-how, and the patience to create something like that.

Did you do this just because you wanted to, or is this a commercial venture? I'm not in the market, just curious. It's a lot of work to undertake and I just wondered if it was business or pleasure.

I actually did start making the neck with the break and repair, but ended up making this neck because I liked the Rosewood better.
I plan on making an unpainted kit with an accurately modded body, a paddle headstock neck and all the parts and decals.

If you don't mind my asking, where does one get the decals? I've been looking for one of those "custom" stickers for years.

Jackdog, go to http://www.axetremecreations.com/index.php They have all kinds of stickers for famous peoples guitars. Vaughan "Custom" the Hula girl Clarence White Frankfurt sticker. Joe Strummers decals you name it. I got the Frankfurt sticker on my Tele and its awesome quality.I have nothing to do with the owner just bought some stuff from them and was pleased. Hope this helps .

Very nicely done!!

I would have used Slider's Vintage Classic 59 pickups as they're dead nuts on for SRV tone! Yes they're a bit pricey but well worth the extra coin.
