NGD - Surf's up!

I've never owned a Strat, and I have been GAS-ing for one for the last couple of years. So yesterday I walked into Best Buy, and their music department had a surf green '50s Classic Strat marked "clearance" for $529.99 brand new. I plugged it in, played all 5 PU settings, played all over the neck, and immediately felt at home.

I went home and slept on it, and today I went back and bought it. The surf green and tinted neck are gorgeous together. I tried to get the guy to upgrade me from a gig bag to a HSC, but no go. So I bought it anyway. With online prices at $750, I figured that $530 was a great price even with the gig bag. With CA sales tax, it was about $580 out the door.

Can't wait to get home tonight, plug into the Vibro Champ, and play!

I know that this thread is worthless without photos, so as soon as I can take some photos and figure out how to host them I will do so.

Surf's up!

Congrats!

Surf Green is one of my favorite colors- A guitar like that just SCREAMS "Walk Don't Run" or "Pipeline"...

Love to see more photos; the only problem with that is you'd have to put the guitar down long enough to take a photo- I understand if its a few days before we see yours

Pics are up!

Host and post pics of Califiddler's Surf Green Fender Classic 50s Strat...couch surfer!

Sounds as great as it looks...Califiddler told me about this
Strat before he bought it so I auditioned it, through a sweet PRRI. I should have bought them both when I had the chance!

GAS...
