GFS 60/70 Grey Bottom users?

Want to try something a little hotter than my Fralin Vintage Hot set. I've got a 2% underwind and they are just perfect for a clean tones but no balls when driven. I don't play this guitar enough but don't want to part with it either. It's a budget project and the GFS fits in that price range.
I want to retain the clarity of the Fralins but with a bit more blusey attitude.

I think you will be VERY satisfied. Those are excellent-sounding pickups. I just sold a set of their Premium Alnico Staggers to a forum member. They were great pickups, but I wanted something noiseless, so I purchased their NeoVin pickups. But if single-coil is your thing, GFS really is killer!

Been thinking about Neovins as well. If possible, could you let me know which model you ordered and how they sound. Thanks.

I ordered the "Fat Vintage" set, which has a slightly-hotter bridge pickup, and they have been great. Not EXACTLY like a single-coil, but no noiseless pickup is. However, they are REAL close and dead quiet, without the lifelessness I've experienced with Fender Vintage Noiseless or SCN. I think that Kinman is top-of-the-rock for the noiseless Strat vibe, but they cost almost 4x as much as a set of NeoVin's. They were WELL worth the price and sound really good.

Appreciate that. Did you go with the 1 meg no load pot or did you try something a bit more traditional?

I used 500KA Bourns split-shaft guitar pots.

Thanks again. I'm going to order either the Fat Vintage or the Texas version.
