Classic Vibe STRAT replacement pickguards?

What vendors make pickguards known to work with Classic Vibe 50s Strats?

I'm considering swapping the gold anodized pickguard on a white CV 50s strat for a WBW 'guard.

I ask because I've been burned a few times by Tele pickguards that should work on my Tele, but the holes don't quite line up right, or the neck pickup bay isn't deep enough, etc.

You'll probably get more responses if you ask over at the TDPRI's sister site, Strat-Talk.com. Check out their Squier forum. A bunch of guys have changed pickguards on Classic Vibes but they usually don't mention which brand of guard they've used on 50s or if any modifications were necessary.

Here's the only comment I've found that references a particular brand. It was in response to someone asking which guards have holes that line up properly on CV 50s. I'm guessing this would be your best bet but others might also work.

"Warmoth... they make what the call an 8 hole conversion pickguard, which is the same hole pattern as what is on the cv 50s strat"

Good luck!

Try guitarfetish, they have cheap enough pickguards where if it is off, you will not be burned too badly. Sometimes a hole or two has to be drilled to fit a new pickguard. I bet someone will trade you for your gold guard if you try that, wbw are very common and the gold anodized are harder (more $) to come by.
