GASing for a CAR Strat - Post your pics!

As title says, I have been GASing for a CAR strat. This is just after I got my new strat all modded out! Man, there is no end to the strat madness. I am really into CAR Strats lately with maple fretboards, but if I see some pics of RW fretboards, I may be swayed. Please post your pics!

It's Candy Apple Red. My EJ may look a little opaque because of the light but it does have almost a sparkle to it.........also, the gold pickguard makes it look a bit different.

08' MIM with 57/62 pickups. Dig the heavy metal strap my wife gave me last X-mas.

Man, how do you guys post these nice big photos? Mine looks silly. I'll take some more because the CAR is such a fantastic color... I honestly stare at it longer than I should.

'66 Bound Neck Candy Apple Red Relic:

Perhaps this will help with your maple/rosewood debate. I've always like the bound rosewood boards the best (visually), especially with a dark metallic colour like Candy Apple Red...

That 1st Gen EJ is a form of Candy Apple Red? It is not the same as the Candy Apple Red you will see on the new MIM Standard Strats - its more candy and less pure red, IMO. (Almost bought one around New Years this past year.)

It's a hardtail but it is CAR. It has a gold undercoat instead of the normal silver metallic so it is a warmer red.

That is just beautiful. It reminds me of chrome red a little but nicer.

Before I got my CAR MIM Strat, I had ordered chrome red because they were cheaper. When it arrived, it was sweet looking but didn't play well at all. I tried everything I could do to get it set up right but just couldn't get it there. I sent it back and they did not have any more chrome red so they offered the newer CAR at the cheaper chrome red price. Of course I said yes. After seeing it in person I was really pleased. The stock photos for candy apple red just don't do it justice. I know it's not a true candy apple red but I love it just the same. And it plays great.

My first guitar, which I got when I started playing 4 years ago, was an 04 Squier CAR with a maple board and slightly off white guard.
