JV wiring

Hi all, I read about the Jimmy Vaughan wiring witha the middle pup open and bridge tone control, but I intend to use only 2 pots on this guitar I'm building. Is there anyreason the JV diagram at Mr. Gearhead would NOT work if I simply wire the neck and bridge pups to the same pot? THX

Without going to another site, yes. You can jump the opposite lugs for the neck and bridge pups and use a single tone.

It might be as well, though, to just go with a master tone jumped from the volume pot.
